This was presumably stated in the instructions to Theresa, but you can see by this excerpt from the fandom wiki that you aren't meant to kill the miners:
- "You have to sneak and progress in the dark past Nemoy and the miners to get to the sack unseen".
You were witnessed murdering the miners and then the guards got wind of it. The prison time in this DLC wil result in Theresa burning alive because the events of "Unexpected Visit" are imminent (the same as with Henry in the prologue).
If you want to exit the DLC then you need to either load a previous save in the DLC, complete the DLC or load to a save prior to entering the DLC.
This game is very good in the way it depicts reality--you make a choice and other choices are eliminated--that's the nature of 'choice.' Just like in real life.
If you choose to play a psychopath, there are consequences, sometimes unintended consequences.
wjpower2003 just told you what your options were (all you have to do is read what he wrote)--go back to a save-game before you got in a hurry and do the quest correctly. Or start a new game.
Or burn to death.
That said, if you start a new game, you do not have to play Theresa's story--it is a dlc, it is optional. But if you start it, you must finish it.
Choices... pick one.
Well, i would say "You Failed - Game Over"
If you play Henry in the Prologue as a Psychopath, the exact same thing happens.
The objective of getting the Silver was to ensure that No One Finds Out, so you've clearly been briefed on the Mission Objective and chosen to Fail - and that's on you.
No way to correct the situation in your current playthorugh.
Hopefully you have a previous save.
And live with ur choices :)
Once you kill all the guards in Skallitz, you can progress without any trouble. The key is to kill all the guards first, before killing anyone else.
Yes, that would work - although would you have the bounty in Talmberg ?
Well, maybe not, although i wonder if your reputation among the Skalitz refugees will be affected.
Regardless, the guards are your neighbors (and possibly friends?--they would be for a youngster interested in martial arts), so you still start the game playing as a psychopath (AKA 'monster')... or completely indifferent to the concept of RPG and immersion.
Which begs the question--why bother?
Well, yes, your reputation with Skalitz Refugees does tank - and Reputation with all Traders (everywhere) also takes a hit - but this only increases game difficulty.
Also, it allows you to train certain skills a bit higher than original start point (Stealth mainly) - for example, with the Skalitz guards gone you can actually chose to fist fight folks - and Fist Fighting also improves Strength and Warfare...
Then, the only real reason to ever train with Bernard is for Perfect Block and MS (if you use them)... well, and to progress the main story.
Henry does start rather wimpy for a Blacksmith's Apprentice - and yet we all know you can very easily grind with Bernard to achieve god-like skill in a couple days...
But i suppose THAT breaks immersion too.
And the reason i ever started down the path of thieving in Skalitz is to actually adjust Henry to the "Role" i believed he should be capable of playing - Blacksmith's Apprentice and Friends with Matthew (Master of Stealth) and Fritz (Master of Fist Fighting).
I mean training with Bernard does not abrogate the 'spirit' of the game, IMO, but killing your friends and neighbors (because you know from watching YT videos that they're all gonna die anyway) certainly does... on so many levels.
I'm positive that there are some cynics here who, mental health aside, cannot bring themselves to play Henry straight or as a 'goody-two-shoes.' Truth to tell, aside from the reputation hit (which might be important to some... I never paid any attentions to it) playing Henry straight actually makes the game harder. For Henry, anyway.
