Stuck on quest Mysterious Ways (Solved? Possible bug)

Edit: So I traveled back to Rattay and asked the scribe to show me the book again, I read the book and still nothing happened. So I told the scribe I didn't know how to read (Even though I do) and he read the book for me, told me the info I already knew and the objective updated and I am now on the quest "On the scent".. Soo I guess this is some bug? Or the game didn't expect the player to actually know how to read at this point?

After giving the sermon for the priest, I said the wrong thing and the priest got mad at me, so I was back at square one and had a quest to read the black chronicle in Rattay. I read the book and now my objectives are "(optional) Get the scribe to help you" and "Continue according to the clues in the Black Chronicle". In the chronicle, it mentions Reeky in the woods near Ledetchko, so I assumed I'd have to go look around the woods in Ledetchko, so I did and eventually came across a large cave which I learned after a little googling that this is where Reeky is suppose to be, but he is not here for me. I tried googling this particular issue, but apparently I'm the only person in the world to do the sermon wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Prior to going to Reeky's cave, head to Ledetchko and talk to the locals - you can start with anyone, they will give you clues for additional folks who may be helpful.

Pro Tip: After talking to the locals, don't take too long in getting back to the cave...

Yeah I got that now, the issue was that without asking the scribe to read the book for me, the quest didn't advance, I had no markers and reeky wasn't where he was suppose to be.

Reeky spawns when the Innkeeper tells you about the three caves. Then you can either check all three or you talk to Adela and learn that his hideout is near a woodcutters camp, which is true for only one of the three. In the camp you'll meet Raspberry who gives you am detailled description how to find the cave.

Still bugged. What a surprise. Honstely, Why would there be a reason the player can't read since you've now have been to Uzhitz and could see the scribe? Why even give the option to Read the damned book if it want do diddlywack.
