Yep...well, you lose the ability to open that chest or door. Though I never loot any stolen keys because of this. Well, that and I want every chance I can get to level lock picking.
Your horse is never searched though. I will have him loaded down with stolen items all the time. As long as I have none in my inventory, and don't steal any keys, I will always be clear on the search. Exception to this is if you have stolen items on you and hear a guard yell at you to stop...it is too late to move them to your horse. You will still lose them.
Stolen money never counts either.
Correct, in the latest version, stuffing your pony full of stolen warez doesn't cut it anymore. Even if you left it in Ujice, the Rattay guards will magically see it when its bags contain a stolen apple.
