Anything you take with you into Vranik might be lost in Vranik.
When you leave Vranik, you will report to Radzig, and then have access to normal stash and game Traders, etc.
Talmberg quests are not available after Vranik until Maybe after the end of the main quest
Yes - alt gear is all u'll need
And you can get it back - but it might take some guts... and some luck
but i can tell you a simple trick, that's a bit cheesy, to make sure you get everything back.
Find the unlocked chest in the small shed just outside the chief's door, and stash whatever gear you might need - like a few lockpicks, and maybe some other items
Yes, there is a key for Eric's Trunk on the desk, but the door to his office is sometimes locked - not always, just sometimes
And sometimes there is a guard in his office - i usually punch him to death.
I've run through Vranik at least 10 times.
My motto is use what the game gives you. Personally, I think mods that are are fundamentally cheats--like making the combat easier or herb picking easier, or whatever a "bit cheesy."
Even the bow dot reticle (which I use all the time ) and Unlimited Saves (wouldn't be without it) are borderline cheesy.

Well, from a sense of realism and role playing, there is no "reason" for Henry to do the trick.
MILD SPOILERS:
I think Kris found a way around it by just waiting - maybe i'll try this next time.
Patience was never one of my strong points - i usually end up killing at least 5 or 6 guards by the time i leave.
I've often been tempted to see if i can take on the whole camp... just for fun :)
