Microsoft C++ in KCD

I ran into a Lot of Windows "Warnings" lately.on this last KCD update SO..after researching this on the Internet I discovered it was the Microsoft C++ Redistibuteable not running properly? SO...I got a fresh DOWNLOAD from Microsoft...Deleted the OLD C++ using the Control Panel/uninstall and Re-installed MIcrosoft C++ Redistributeable This of course lead to a RESET my Xbox controller on steam with a reset to basic settings from KCD in the Big screen....but WOW, No more Screen LAG, better definition of graphics, HIGHER Graphics setting without Performance problems/etc....A whole stream of Problems were solved(wow)...Since that last BIG Kcd update? OK I'm no PC Guru....but SOMETHING real basic just changed in KCD code I'm thinking ?

Where would you see if it's running "properly", what does that mean?

Good questions...had a LOT of Problems with a HARD drive 6 months ago (Dedicated game H/D)..so reverted to Win 8...and have NOT updated since to win 10...but that still has an UPDATE feature and mainly is an Internet thing really...not game play? right?
The Running properly was going on before in Win10...and in win 8....it was laggy, graphics glitching, slowing down in masses of NPC's/etc a whole line of problems? So on the last KCD update a Windows Popup warning appeared on game startup as described above....I tracked and did as described...and "VOILA" all problems in KCD solved?
Thing is....does this mean that the KCD "Glitches" may not be from KCD...but a Windows thing that is NOT updating correctly maybe?(get where i'm going now?)
