You can overclock as much as you like you arent catching a 1080ti on that thing
If you bothered to read the thread I have the exact same CPU as the op and no issues here with a lower end gpu. I5s work perfectly fine for all modern games. It's obviously something with his particular setup or software.
Check toms hardware review of the game so you can see its benchmarks. It sucks.
Lmao..can't believe I just read that nonsense.
I'd also take my i5 8600k over a i7 8700k for gaming any day of the week. Did you even research your purchase or just pick the highest number thinking that was best for gaming? (sarcasm because we both know you did, lolol)
CPU usage doesn´t get above 50% so don´t even get me started. Please take your 8700k and go pet it somewhere else. thx in advance
Go check out the benchmarks for yourself then, champ. More threads, far better multicore speed, far better OC potential. Find me any hardware site that doesn't consider it to be one of the best gaming CPUs on the market. I'll be happy with my purchase for a long time.
Ok then you explain why you can't even get 50 FPS at 1080p on medium if it has nothing to do with hardware power without just saying "UNOPTIMIZED UNOPTIMIZED". You jokers just need to stop overusing this term every time you can't figure out what's wrong with your PC.
At all Ultra and maxed out viewing distances it renders from 50 to 60 frames, when in the wildernis. Not complaining there, because Ultra Detail (especially in the woods) is way better than Witcher 3. It will likely only run at stable 60+ frames on future hardware, as is stated in game.
The real problem is still Rattay. With framerates low as 30 in the centre. Especially shadows seem to have a huge performance impact there. Would be understandable at night. KCD calculates shadows from torches. Witcher 3 didn't, even on highest settings. But there is no big framerate difference between day and night. Novigrad or Toussaint from Witcher 3 have much more, much better looking buildings. And can handle like ten times more NPCs in the streets. So, definitively something that could be optimised.
P.S.: If I render at only 1920x1080 I get up to 90 fps in the wildernes, but in rattay it still drops to 30 fps.
Why do people mention their PC's are watercooled? Do you think that makes it run faster? That has nothing to do with your specs lol. Obviously just trying to brag.
