A needle in a haystack quest

Before you can enter the monastery you have to put away all your gear, I stored all my armor and weapons on my horse. After finishing the quest and taking the pious back to the bailiff all my gear is gone. After the quest in complete the bailiff says "wait here and i'll have your gear sent over" but it never arrives. How can I get all my gear back?

yep i know what you mean i have the same problem now. He never brings my stuff nor does anyone else. Some say you have to get it back from the chest where you got your robes from but i havent found anything in it that belongs to me. Also my personal chest was a failure.

Yeah i check that chest and it was also empty

What worked for me twice now is not waiting to get the gear after the quest is done. I pickpocket of the one with the key to the monastery or take it from a hidden place, then at night I go over to my chest where I got the monk's clothes and retrieve them. The second time, before I even entered the monastery with the letter of recommendation I got inside from one of the outer doors and smuggled my things inside a very easy chest near the where the monks getting drunk in the basement, then later I get all stuff without needing to go outside.
Only problem is that some stuff becomes as if I had stolen my own stuff, like arrows, some minor clothes, etc.
