The "awkward as heck" combat system becomes a lot more fluid as you level up for combos and train new abilities.
Your character (Henry) is a blacksmiths apprentice, not a master sword fighter. As shown when he tries to cut the stick with the sword, which his father and the lord where able to.
Its a rewarding feeling when youve trained and skilled up enough to take down your first multiple foes :)
GASP?
That's the whole point of this video game?!
But yes you are railroaded into losing that fight. Henry wants to go back to Skalitz right away, giving you no chance to train him in combat.
Let's be honest, there are A LOT of poor game design decisions in KCD (like the event in this thread), but for many players there are few other games that give that same overall feel.
My Man, this thread is six years old. How do you even find it. You must've searched explicitly for someone being salty about this particular fight.
The fight wasn't a big issue, back then i was afraid of locking myself out of content because it felt winnable from what i remember.
And get over the need to necro-nazi moderate.
