Highborn or lowborn perk

What do guards count as?

I went lowborn because the common folk are more needy

But what are guards? I want to persuade them easier.

I took highborn, it didn't have any effect on guards. Best is to take magistrate from the reading tree

Improve your Reading skill and take the Magistrate perks to have bonuses when persuading guards.

i usually take highborn. it's easy to impress regular ppl anyway.

Yes it is, if they were highborns they wouldn't get a job as a lowly guard. They'd be, like, nobles.

I guess technically a few of them could be sorta high-BORN / LOW-born, you know, a la Henry. . But that's probably not a mechanic in the game.

They are lowborn, however there is a perk that specifically makes guards easier to persuade so maybe they aren't included in the perk. Not sure but I'd assume Lowborn.

Ok thx for the replies but it doesn't really matter rn anyway because I need to level speech 4 times for another perk and I can't find out how to raise it quickly.
