What should I do with this. I have never launched the game before. The system requirements of my operating system meet the minimum requirements.

Did you install any mods? If you did, uninstall the game completely (removing any leftover files afer uninstalling), reinstall the game and check whether or not the game starts without mods. If it does, the next step is figuring out which mod is causing the problem.

You say you meet the minimum requirements, so you didn't install the HD Texture Pack, did you? You need better hardware than the minimum requirements to run the game with the HD texture pack, see the store page for the HD texture pack for the requirements.

You can also check the game files by right-clicking the game in your library, then selecting 'Properties...', then 'Local Files' and finally 'Verify integrity of game files'.

Also, the usual: make sure your GPU drivers are up to date and such.

i know its been a couple of years but did you manage to find what mod was causing the crash? if so please tell me
