Does this game get better
I have play 22.5 hours and all iv really had to do is run around the map either talking to people or looking for stuff seem's like a waste of a game if that is mostly what you do.

It does get far better. Once you are out of the prologue (Skalitz), then out of Talmberg, then out of Skalitz again, then wake up a new man you are largely free to do as you please - although there are a few very helpful advancements in combat that require you to adhere to the main quest for a little but it's a worthwhile investment of your time.

I had the same frustrations as you when I first started and expressed them to a work mate who advised me to get the game. I'm now at over 1300 hours and multiple play throughs. Trust me, it gets better.

Yes, it gets better! Much, much much better. The real question is "Can you?"

the game is a bit slow and limited at the beginning and after the shackles are off you have to train hard in order to fight well. Here and there you'll stumble upon some boring missions like go to B then come to A and go back to B again just to finish the quest at A and get 600 grochen on top of your 40k pile because you loot and hoard everything.
this game is fun but i see how it can't be for everyone.

Old Mac (on account of his age and former military background) is kind of like our platoon sergeant in these parts...... he kicks arse and takes names whilst also imparting valuable life lessons upon welps who dare to assume that they can trap-off about things of which they know little.

Word!

To be a bit more verbose, I'm a bit of an old-school open-worlder, so I like my flower picking, and I like fetch quests. I actually like the moderate boredom of non-epic characters just starting out. So I loved the Prologue in Skalitz and loved Talmberg.

But in any case you'll soon level up and get a bit farther in the story, and the feel of the game will change for the better. Don't you worry about that.

Just wait until you get your skull caved in by a drunk peasant on the road outside Rovna.

How on earth have you managed 1300hrs in this game? I can't possibly fathom where you have spent all that time. I just finished the game the second time, this time I completed all the side quests in the game, including the DLCs, during my first play through I probably missed a couple. I have a total of 260hrs now, and since there is absolutely no reason to ever play the game again since I know each quest by heart, I can't image how someone could possibly spend 1300hrs in the game...

But to answer the OP, this is a game mostly revolving around talking to people and looking for stuff. So if you don't like that, then no, I don't think it's going to get any better.
