First you need to install the cheat mod to get around it: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/106
Sorry about the inconvinience.
I have a crazy idea, how about you fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game?
Mods don't disable achievements in KCD
Two playthroughs, 650+ hours, never seen this problem.
Yeh - in my 2000+ hours i've only seen the never ending loading screen during the Baptism by Fire, after the cutscene to move the wagon from in front of the Cuman Camp - and reloading a recent save always fixes the problem for me.
Hopefully the OP is not using a 4 year old game save ;)
Still tho. Like c'mon. Serious bug.
Think about it logically--it could be caused by a whole range of things not related to the game.
The point is that unless you are you are using old mods, trying to play an old save game, or trying to pick up a savegame that is already glitched by something you've done in gameplay, we are playing the same game--the same code (assuming you've got the latest version).
The only possible difference between my experience and yours, has to be on your end. Again, mods, antivirus programs, a faulty video driver, update, a glitched game, inadequate specs, etc..
Chances approach certainty that if you completely uninstalled the game, got rid of your old savegames, reinstalled KCD, verified your files, and started a new playthrough you would not see this problem again.
Of course, as I mentioned, the problem may lie with system updates or video driver updates or antivirus definitions or even your gameplay. I
And something I've thought for a long time (and seems to be verified by others) if you try to 'bully' the game you're more likely to introduce problems that persist even though you go back one or two or three savegames.
My system is not the latest and greatest, it wasn't even cutting edge when the game was released. I played 300 hours in both of my playthroughs, so you know I wasn't skipping stuff or trying to do a speed run. But... I have had only minor graphical glitches.
Why is that do you suppose?
My first playthrough I got to that point in only 76 hours, so I figured maybe I did something to break the game. The second time I made sure to have more fun and to take everything slowly and deliberately, making sure to grind lots of schapps so if I notice anything weird I can revert a save. That game has the rest of my hours on it and its stuck at the same point. All of my drivers are up to date, I have tried literally everything including reinstalling the game. It won't work unless I use that cheat mod others have mentioned and I guess I'll give that a try later but for now I am shelving this ♥♥♥♥.
