If you intend to start a new game, you will have a lot more fun with the DLCs as they add some sidequests during the second half of the game, who lacks content otherwise.
By "the game is almost over once you're done with the siege", then, I assume that it's just how I suspected: One main quest after the other, non-stop. Damn.
Do the side quests appear, regardless of where I'm at, though? Or they're "timed"?
Don't quote me but I've heard you can do the Capon DLC at the very very end - just meet him at the camp on the way out of town. For my money it's one of the best DLC's just for the writing. It's funny as Hell and a real hoot to playthrough.
You'll play again (on my 5th and planning my 6th already)..
@MF: in the very, very end do you mean in Epilogue or after? No spoilers, please.
