Dice game not working

I can hold dice, but option to roll again is grey. I can only hold, pass, or quit. Loving the the rest of the game btw. This is a small complaint. I tried to change the key binding for roll again. Its just not working. What could I be doing wrong?

Do you have scoring dice stored-held/selected when you wanna roll again?

You are right about the picture. But let me try to explain. The dice game starts, I roll first. Six dice are shown. I hold a couple but they just stay put in the middle of the table. All i can do at that point is:
-unhold
-pass
-quit
the option to take a second roll will not light up. Stays grey and "unselectable"

And do you select the dice that score some points? The game will automatically let your opponent roll if you don't throw any scoring dice, but if you do throw some but you don't select a valid scoring combination, you can't roll again, this is my point. Sounds kinda dumb, don't take it personally, but i can imagine that.. but picture would tell the whole story, pls make pictures.

I've lost every game by quitting. Its my only way out of the mini game. I can enjoy the rest of the game just fine. I'm just reading all the fun everyone else has playing dice and want in on it. Its either broken for me or I'm just overlooking something silly. I've tried everything I can think of.

Ah, maybe I'm not selecting a valid set. I try stuff like pairs or high numbers. I guess I'll reread the rules.

Yes that ^.. it's not like poker or any scoring in other games that i'd think of right away.. safest bet to test is dice values 1 or 5 - either can be selected as single dice, scoring 100 or 50 pts respectively. And read the rules dude XD there are some nice and interesting combinations you can take advantage of, and there's some strategy involved if you want to.. :) let me know here pls how you're doing, if you know how to score now :)

Thanks for the help! Tried holding a single 5 and it worked. Went on to lose a close game.

Well that's good to hear certainly. So please study the rules and all the other info the game throws at you :) Codex is very useful too :)

Not sure if they extended the written rules, have not read them since release, but they did expand them. You can also score 5 in a row and 6 in a row.

Yeah you can only hold individual 1 or 5, else three+ of a kind of any die, plus some specials like flush or royal flush. But the main game is 1s and 5s. For singular die it will only accept and score those faces.

I play dice a LOT and every now and then I get this bug too. I can select dice but can't roll again or pass. The only way out seems to be to forfeit and start again. It happens rarely.

I have played thousands of games.. yet never seen a bug with scoring. Ever.

The option to score and roll again or score and pass is lit when you select a valid scoring set.

Singles: 1, 5 (also two singles).
Triples: All face values.
Quads: All face values.
Pents: All face values.
Sexts: All face values.
Straights: 1-5, 2-6, 1-6

(Any other scoring explicitly added in a patch/dlc - I think there was a change, adding one more scoring mode, but I forget what it was). Not all variants for farkle scoring are in the in-game version.
Various dice can take wild-card status on one face, but not as a single (or non scoring pair).

If you have a non-score die selected, then the score is zeroed and the option to pass or score is suppressed. Remove the incorrect die, and the score is recalculated and the option to continue is available.

If you can't put a hold on at least one die, you're bust.

If you're not bust, you have to put a hold on at least one die (or one of the straights or combinations) before the game presents you with other options.

Put a hold on something and the game will allow you to keep going (or whatever).

If this doesn't answer your question, show us a screenshot of what is actually happening.

If that still doesn't help, I think I want to play the game with you for real money.

Well, I have 6, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2 - i guess I scored 200, right? I've marked 6, 3, 3 to reroll and still cannot proceed ("F" option is grayed out). What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: OK, I know what I was doing wrong. I need to mark dices that i want to keep, not the ones I want to change! :D
