i wonder what other people have seen in their games. and for both yours, Zing, and my game i am wondering if/when the NPCs will respawn. Karolina has role in Capon's dlc, if you haven't done it yet.. you may have to wait.. dunno
It might be that Warhorse have been releasing crafty secret updates to keep the game interesting and fresh - nothing fresher than never-before-seen random NPC murders.
App id 379430
build id 5981448
installed content updated dec 18 2020
Where do you find that information?
Thanks, @vine.
My update is the same except for the date of installed content--(about three weeks later than yours/
It's unfortunate... personally, I understand and accept that if you ride down an NPC they are gonna get hurt and complain. It stands to reason. I ride down bandits and Cumans deliberately.
That said, I can't count the number of times I have halted my horse a little off to the side of a walking guard or pedestrian and then they bump into me (into my horse). At which point they roundly curse me and question my horsemanship.
Yesterday I was riding (at a walk) through Rattay and two peds converged on me. I stopped immediately but I had no where to turn. I just had to let it happen.
It's not a game-breaking issue or even very significant but it does undermine the whole notion of reputation a bit.
It's strange, I've recently started to notice NPCs on roads that I've never seen them before and NPCs behaving differently.
Hey! I'm walking here. I'm walking here... Get outta here...
xD
I can top that story for weirdness. I watched nearly all the guys from BoB die in fights, only to respawn later. In fact the damn captain seemed ok, but then evidently ran off and bled to death. A few weeks later I saw him running down the road near the giant windmill. I followed him and he was running to his horse. This was some freaky sh*t. He eventually rode back to the camp, and there everyone was. Including the young guy I'd killed myself. W.T.F.
And they all just stare at you with those dead eyes...............
I gave a beggar out on the road a pair of shoes. He thanked me profusely, then cursed me out when he walked into my horse. I felt like putting an arrow between his eyes, seriously.
I have a somewhat similar experience... strange but not really a problem. After the fight with Zoul where we lost Kuno, Stone and one of the Bearmans, Henry said a little prayer for their souls and went on about his business.
But after about a week I came through Kuno's camp (it's on the way to a safer shorter route to Sassau) and lo and behold there they were standing in the road.
Trouble is they were all merged together like some unholy trinity. They don't talk, they don't move and are in the same place every time I come through. It's creepy in a way. Spirits, I guess.
I tried a number of things to knock them apart hoping to perhaps take advantage of that respawn thing and reconstitute "that old gang of mine."
Only thing that worked was attacking them, then suddenly they break apart and the whole gang attacks me.
Since then I just let them be. Maybe they have some ghostly attachment to the camp and their comrades... and each other.
It pleases me to think that, anyway.
