[Spoiler] Killing Pious

I was intended to sneak into the monastery and pickpocket every novice to check for a dice (and none of them have it), so I tried to kill every novice just to be sure, but the first one I killed complete the quest right away. Not trusting in my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck I reload and kill another one and the quest is also completed. So I was wonder what happened if you kill the wrong novice and go to the meeting point with Kozliek, is the quest still progress or will he deny me? What if I kill every novice but can't bring Kozliek the dice, is he gonna believe me?

This quest is quite complex in its execution and outcomes.
What I will say is this, there are two ways of completing this quest: commit to doing the monastery quest the way it is intended (joining the order, only sneaking at night, slowly weedling the truth from other novices, etc.) or crash your way through it, lockpicking doors to run in and find the right guy and knifing him in front of everyone and running off.
There is an in between where you spend the time to learn (and you'd be shocked what you would learn if you spoke to the novices, maybe even where a certain specific dice may or may not be hidden or perhaps buried or something similar) and then kill and run, if you're determined to give WH's writers the finger.
I will also tell you the monastery quests are challenging but fun. Give them a real go before committing monkicide.

I have read about the quest online and know who is Pious, and tbh this is my first run and I've been a thug through and through so I guess I will stick with that, another 3-4 innocent lives won't matter. I just wonder what will happen if I got the wrong guy and meet up with Kozliek, since I was a thug, I don't mind just kill a random guy and call it a day to get into their rank. Still, will they buy it, or just tell me to return to the monastery to get the job done, if so I will just kill all of the novices and move on.

Well, I have tested it out doesn't matter who you killed, but without the dice you need to give Kozliek 3k to prove to him that you've done the job, no skill check need, just plain old good handful of groschen. I guess thug method works out well with thugs then LUL but then again I would have to replay for the full mission.

I have done it both ways in the past and frankly for now I rather move on so the word for me is kill. :)

I helped Pious fake his death then I took him to gaol in Rattay... so I didn't have the dice. But I went to meet the guys in the swamp, anyway. I ended up killing all of them and each one had a die on him--the very one you need. So I got in easy-peasy.

I was a good two shoes who took a very low view of banditry so I beat Pious to death with my bare hands in the middle of a church and then gave the same treatment to his 3 buddies when they showed up at camp
'Course, I jawed at 'em first to learn everything I could, then the ol' bailiff's club came out.
What I was recommending to OP was to just talk to them first, because they'll often divulge quest information, and THEN you can continue your thug life.
