Delivering meat for the Seige quest, got a question

Ive got just 6 pieces of meat, and would like to drop them off with the quartermaster. It seems like it is all or nothing though, and you have to drop off all 200 at the same time? Is this the case?

I have given him the 6 I have but then there is no way for me to get out of that window without cancelling it. Ive got some meat now that will probably spoil before I can get back all 200. There must be a way to hand over a bit here and a bit there?

you can keep your current meat, cook it for longer preservation.
shoot a boar, it should be enough meat on it to complete the quest in one go.

the cook probably cant make a meal for all soldiers with just 6 pieces (little over 1 kg) of meat

Wow, thanks. Forgot about cooking. So it does sound like you have to do it all in one go.

Also use preserver potion that increases the time before the meat will spoil

I think every meat fetching quest I've done requires you to turn it all in at once. Some quests also would only take raw meat so you could not cook it.
