Lucerne hammer?
I dont have the right strength to be able to use it yet so instead of carrying it around because it weighs a lot i'd like to store it in my trunk but i wont let me, i guess i wont be able to sell it either

Come on. Don't you know that the issue of polearm weapons hasn't been addressed since the game release (February), that is to say for 9 (!!!) months already?! The developers just don't care about it.

You cannot equip it because it isnt supposed to be in your inventory. You have to drop it to be able to use it, and you cant take it into town.

On a secondary note, your stats dont decide wether you can use a weapon, just how effective it is.
