Cant repair Warhorse gambeson 25% at tailor in Rattay
Hi!
Can someone explain to me why I cant repair my Warhorse gambeson at the tailor (the green dude) in Rattay. The condition are at 25% and when I ask him to repair it, he just says its to damaged. I wonder if this is a bug or something that Im missing? The armour smith dosent even show the item in the repair list so it has to be the tailor fixing it.

Try to get it repaired at the armoursmith next to the fruit & veg stall. Who repairs what in KCD is all over the place.

If you mean the armoursmith next to the tailor, behind the stalls? I tried going to him but he dont even have the gamebeson in the repair list, so he cant repair it. Its a fabric armour so its the tailor that can fix it, but wont do it because its condition is to low.

Talk to the Tailor himself, the green dude, not his shop assistant. He is the actual artisan and can do everything in fixing sewn cloth.
Alternatives are in bath house request fixing clothes, or Theresa?
edit i will have to test it with the WH gambeson, but every other piece of cloth from slain cumans or bandits can be repaired from 0.

He seems to be doing just that.

Anyone know if it has something to do how much reputation you have with the city?

I used the cheat mod to get the item into my inventory as follows:

cheat_add_item id:4afcfba0-8899-4509-b099-c30f58e100b8 amount:1 health:25

However it went into my inventory at 100 health/condition. I then tried using the description instead of the id code:

cheat_add_item id:gambeson_07_bonus amount:1 health:25

It still went into my inventory at 100.

Ultimately I had to go to the practice arena with loads of marigold potions, wearing only the gambeson and let Bernard hack the c**p out of me with a real axe although after a few bouts, the gambeson condition went down from 34 to 0.

I then took the item for repair at the the tailor's and he repaired it without any issues so I honestly have no idea why he won't do it for you sorry.

Thanks for trying mate! im going to see if its some mod that doing this, I remember I have a vendor mod that should just increse their money. I wondering if it also does something else. It could also be another mod that adds more amours and such.

It is likely because it has a goofy value of 1. The minimum payment to repair is interacting with the minimum payment. Try repairing alongside another item, or if that fails, mod the line for the ancient armour pieces to be a 'reasonable' value rather than 1. There might also be unusual values for durability (as with horse furniture) which can limit the ability to absorb damage and still remain repairable. I am not sure whether this does appear, but it is easily checked when looking at value if it is present.

Depending on taste they can be 'within their proper place' compared to other items, or retain a low value for 'cheat' repair costs, but be only a few dozen rather than one each.

I am fairly certain that this should 'fix' the issue.

I think its something that is funky, becouse all my armor gear breaks super easy. Like during one on one fight and its like under 30 procent after the battle or even more. So the durability is way off. I will look into it tomorrow! Thanks!! :)

After I looked at the Nexus forums I found a thread about the same problem, and it was a mod that changed the skill cap at 100. When the skill cap was higher the repairs became broken. It all working fine now that I uninstalled the mod. I post it here so if anyone has the same problem :)

And i'm glad it's resolved successfully, and that the game is not to blame for it :)
