DLC for this game are meh...

I saw DLCs are in discount, so i thought i would buy some. But they are all trash, doesn't surprise me. I never buy DLCs, 99% of them is trash and exist just to make cheap buck for devs. I saw interview with CEO of warhorse and they created startup from 0 and break through by the skin of their teeth. So they probably made DLCs just to make some extra cash from making a good game. Because distributors take a lot and other costs... So that's probably only reason this game has DLCs. Because they hate micro-transactions and make original games, trying to simulate the reality.

Only thing i don't like on this is combat system, but otherwise they have done pretty good job. Can't wait what they will come with next! Unfortunately it doesn't seems people buying their DLCs, because they are just crap like in 99% cases. There are almost no legit DLCs. Back than when we had expansion packs, that was different.

Devs had to put a lot of work to change game significantly, otherwise no one would buy it. But it was more risky, if they failed. I hate gaming industry today, it came down from brilliant startups and competition, which was good for customer, to copy-paste BS and micro-transactions plagued with gambling. That's why 99% of modern games are total trash. Doesn't matter game looks photo-realistic, if gameplay is total and utter garbage...

So we need more great studios like this. Which don't make games only to make more money. So new startups and newly formed studios, from unsatisfied veteran devs is great. Problem is, it is so difficult to make a startup today and come with something on the market, which would sell well. Than probably less than 1% can do it. I hope these small startups won't become corporations, which than turn to making games only for profit, which are total garbage...

the "DLC" for KCd is actually far far closer to the OG idea of expansion packs, adding a lot of extra content to the game. like how cd projekt red used to be great with witcher 3 DLC, almost all of those are basically full expansion packs

pribyslavitz is wonderful. womans lot WILL kick you right in the feels repeatedly and make you cry like a little girl. band of bastards is fun and full on. try doing a hardcore run and NOT losing a merc in that. WAY hard.

KCD sold over 3mil copies and over 1mil DLCs last time i read.
Generally speaking DLCs are best suited for players that enjoy the base game and wish for more content. You may have taken one extra step forward..

Woman's Lot and From the Ashes are good though, Band of Bastards is the only DLC thats a bit ehh

empleat 101 you have a very bleak outlook on gaming and the gaming industry maybe you could find something to do that you could enjoy. the DLC you mention for KCD i thought was very good

Anyway, I quite liked having a dog companion, building my own town and beating that Zoul chap for some great armour, so the DLC's were fine for me.

Ah...I get it (after reading your random wall of text). You're a Communist and want everything to be "not for profit". But I'm afraid we live in a world where even developers have mortgages and families they need to feed, and the companies they work for MUST make a profit to keep them employed in a job.

Yes you can move to North Korea where their developers don't work for profit but if you live anywhere else, I'm afraid that's not going to work. So your request is not only unrealistic but rather silly. And maybe you should post this stuff on a political forum instead of a games forum.

I bought all the DLC because there's nothing else like this game and there will probably not be another one for a long time if ever. I get a little bit different things to do in my 2nd playthrough along with a bunch of mods. Seemed like a good idea to me.

Weird, all DLCs for this game have negative/mixed reviews, barely 100-600. Sold DLCs aren't measure of their quality, people will just grab them, if the like they game and than sometimes regret, they also were in discount probably. I don't like DLCs generally, i think it is very bad for games to have them. Because devs have weekly income, they get complacent and don't have to create anything new! And DLCs usually suck!

But for smaller companies, which need money, i think it is okay. I just don't like it as a player at all.

Are you 13? Game industry is crap today, because random loot boxes and all the gambling, selling skin sites, which lure masses of hackers. Almost no one likes DLCs, or micro-transactions in general. Sometimes it is to support devs, but in most games - it is crap and devs being lazy and just want to sell you same crap every year like: Activision, or EA... You have to be naive...

and when u look at reviews, u realize ppl just do negative reviews, because they wanna more content for 5 bucks.. almost all reviews are "its too short" ..what u expect for 5 bucks? whole new game? even if u know history of this game developing, then u know why here are DLCs
obviously, u have no idea what r u talking about.. its funny, when u need trashtalk and trying get attention by that. will be better, when u watch movie, calm down, get at least basic knowledge and then just apologize for your attempt to get attention. if u r sad and lonelly, then just ask for help, u dont need try grab attention by rant and trashtalk dude..

Yes I wish I was 13 years-young again, sadly those days are long gone. It's pretty evident to everyone that you're got some real problems, with your insecure, angry and incoherent rantings. You obviously have issues in real-life, and I hope you get the help you need.
