Can potions be combined / stacked?
can potions be used together? For instance, Bivoli's Rage ((+50% damage to opponents) and Aqua Vitalis ((-50% damage to user).?

Is there a limit to how many potions can be active at one time?

I don't think so, the only limit seems to be your nourishment level as all potions have at least 5 'food value' and some of them are also alcoholic.
You also can't stack potions of same type but that must be obvious.

!! Good point, I hadn't thought about that. Thanks.

Can you list a few examples of potions of the same type, please?

Just all potions with healing effect, they'll replace each other when used.
And obviously 2 of the same won't stack (like Bard's Potion and another Bard's Potion).

all of them.

alchemy is the most video gamey mechanic in the game and lets you hulk out.

Some potions seem to have some sort of odd video effect associated with them - almost like drunken behavior - i've tried using 5 at once and i got very confused with the combined response.

In the end i determined that Aqua Vitalis, Bucks Blood, and Lazarus Potion combo is the right way to go. Reduces Damage, Doubles Stamina, and Low-Level Constant Healing.

Potions do fill you up, so be careful to not overeat - and there is an Alchemy Skill (Witcher) that reduces the "Nutrition" value of potions, so you can take more without overeating.

I thought Lazarus and Marigold potions did not work in combat??
theo (Banned) Dec 16, 2020 @ 7:28am
Why not? You can't drink them in combat, as any other potion, but regeneration effect doesn't go anywhere if it's already applied
Lazarus has very long-lasting healing effect so it's perfect for such cases

Thanks! Wow! I misunderstood the info on Lazarus. That's gonna be one of my main 'must-have' potions now.

So does Lazarus conflict with any of the others (excepting Marigold) like Aqua Vitalis?

No. There's another healing potion called Chamomile brew, I don't know how it works and there's no info on it in KCD wiki for some reason. But I guess they don't stack either

it works in combat but you have disengage(swords at the top of the screen arent yellow and crossed they are silver and apart) IE run away for a minute
Yeah using all the pots will give you a pretty massive advantage. Not using them is a way to handicap yourself a bit.
