There are over 100 sleep and save beds in the whole game on the map accessible pretty much any time. Where? it depends where you are.. when i play my HC i don't seek outside beds, i use the known beds.. you know.. inns for the most part.. we get a bed at Talmberk and way later on at Rattay town itself as well. buying a bed at an inn for more days is forever, i hope you know that.. with bed rented at an inn (no matter if 1night or forever) you get access to your shared chest. i hope you know that too.
Now get back and brew those 20schnappses for next time.
There is a mod from Nexus called "Unlimited Saving", but i prefer one called "Ultimate Saving ..." which does auto overwrites, and allows you to create Permanent Saves as well (as a starting point for your next playthrough)

I quickly became tired of running back and forth to bed each time i wanted to save, or cheating to make the Saviour Schnapps potion, so, the mod was the right fix for bad design.
Also, after playing through the first time and dealing with the restricted space, i simply modded the game files to allow more carry weight (no mod req'd) - but that's a different topic.
