"Urban" the guard and the bowl from St. Procopius

I brought a bowl to him from the remains of Procopius so he could touch it for good luck and he wants me to return it. Problem is I can't. It's a quest item and I can't return it or drop it. Not that it's a big deal, but is there a way to drop this thing? I know in my first playthrough, he gets mad at me for not returning the bowl, but that's it.

Dropping the bowl is really buggy. There are some "guides" how to do it, but not 100% working. You can try going to cross close as much as you can and press E, then don't move and wait few seconds. Supposedly there should be animation, which isn't triggered, so if you move, it cancels and bowl is stuck with you. Also I read that you can bring him something different so you can try that. Read about digging bonefinger from grave in Sasau and maybe buying something from charlatan.

I know this is a bit of a necro, but I was having problems with this bit as well. Well, I figured it out.

You need to NOT be sneaking or crouching while trying to place the bowl, AND you need to be right next to the cross when you place it! I tried sneaking at first but the animation kept failing, so I reloaded the save (saved right at the top of the stairs leading down to the cave) and tried again, but this time not crouching, and it worked.

So anyone still having problems with this, dont sneak, and save right before entering the cave, so if it does fail again, just reload the save and keep trying.

Again, sorry for the necro, but I figured this was important to state for future players. :)
