Is Henry a German or Czech?

I know that the two groups lived together in 15th century bohemia, but Henry's background is ambigous. The fact that he can get a perk called True Slav suggests he is Czech but it's a mystery.

His actual name is Jindřich, Henry is used in the English and other language versions for... reasons. I guess because it's hard to pronounce it, but it still sounds weird. Would've been better to just give him a name that's similar both in Czech and English.

At this point in history, and even a couple of centuries later, "Czechs" were more like "extended germans" culturally, since they read german literature, wrote in German, and most of them even spoke german on a daily basis. Stuff like that happens when you're part of the Empire. But I think HEINRICH (As we call him in German) was still ethnically a Czech person.

Thanks for your reply. I'm surprised to hear that the medieval Czech lands were apparently so heavily germanized. I had assumed the class structure of medieval Bohemia had a class structure of German-speaking nobility and merchants ruling over a Czech-speaking agricultual people...I think there was in the 1800's a cultutal movement reinvigorating Czech language and literature, wasn't there?
