Wooden Totems?
I keep on finding these wooden totems all over the world map. Some are intact, others are damaged, others are broken in 2 or more pieces. What are they there for?
Also I found a tree with a weird symbol on it, check the photo

Totems showing aliens. People from 8th to 13th Century in mid europe were visited by aliens and got technology from them, so the people placed totems to their honors.

Let me work some necromancy and resurrect this thread since there was no answer.

Yeah I saw that, is that what all those totems are supposed to be? They're all over the place in the game. They're all the god of war, fertility and abundance?

When you found those wooden statues (interesting sites) have you ever found any loot around those? Maybe not in close vicinity but a bit further?

It's a pagan idol and when you find the first one you unlock a codex entry on medieval European paganism.

And the symbol that you found on the tree I think indicates that a bandit camp is nearby.

It's a bent branch stripped of bark. It may 'symbolize' something to some group of people (as mentioned, marking a trail or near a secret camp) but is not a particular historically identifiable symbol, compared to Anhk, Egyptian for 'breath of life'.

If you noticed Skyrim had stacks of rocks, sometimes also with a small flag flapping (if really important to story line) just beside the road marking trails or something interesting close by.

About that Stacks of rocks, or rock piles, what are those meant to be in the KCD game?

Thx both for answers.

I haven't noticed a kodex entry, I'll check it out immediately :)
I have some knowledge about Perun and that was what I thought at first glance when i stumbled uppon those statues/idols, but I wasn't sure.
I found a totem surrounded by fly agaric mushrooms and a heap of potion being offered at its feet. I laid out my own offerings. Food and a potion. Not a bad find if you can find it duckey.
