Should I kill pious or arrest him?
I reported to Sir radzig and he suggested that I arrest the guy instead of killing him. How will sir radzig react if I kill pious? By arresting him I won't get his dice. So what should i do? I don't want to be attacked by the bandits afterwards.. (I also don't have 3k groschen)

Unless you really want to do it, there isn't any noticeable reputation hit if you don't somehow manage to take Pious to Radzig. The Monastery mission is by far the worst mission in the game. I almost quit the game on my first playthrough due to the boredom and frustrations/bugs from this mission.

There is another option; join the monastery and see what you can find out, then confront the guy you think is Pious.

The third option is to work with Pious on a deception; you have to join the monastery and when you confront him, agree to his plan to escape with both of you alive.

I don't know how Radzig reacts if Pious is killed, couldn't find any videos that included a cutscene on it.

I'm doing the exact same thing right now. But when we both manage to get out of the monastery I have three options. I can kill, arrest or just leave him be. Killing and setting him free will reward me with his strange dice but arresting him won't give me anything

its actually not so bad if you have a plan. you have different ways to aproach the mission, either doing it quickly or taking more time. it can be a little bit like a detective game if the player wishes so.
and i didnt encounter any mission specific bugs inside the monastery.

but yes, there should have been an option to dismiss radzigs idea sending henry in the monastery.

I initially wanted to experience the full quest so I began working on setting him free only to knock him out and arrest him, as much as it pained me to let someone who tried to poison me live, but I'd heard you don't get the dice if you do that (dunno) so I just elected to kill him. I understand you have to fistfight him after you escape and then you knock him out, I guess maybe the game merely transitions to a fast travel cutscene once you do and gives you no chance to loot the dice? You can't pickpocket it for some reason so it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, but I honestly have no idea. I figured if you let him live he'd just run off during a cutscene too after giving you the dice, robbing you of any chance to punish him "appropriately".

I just really couldn't be bothered checking, as this was after multiple runs where I'd been thrown out or caught for annoying reasons and I had to keep restarting the whole thing too, lol. What's annoying is I'm pretty sure those bandits in the church mention that Pious has a nice dagger, and then they go and give Siskin an ornamental dagger too lol.

I was really looking forward to the sneaky Monastery quest too, but it ended up being quite awful all things considered lol. I have to admit, I was amazed after informing Pious I knew who he was and that I was going to kill him that I didn't get killed while sleeping, since he has a dagger and all that.

Really, the quest would have been a thousand times better if your duties turned into free time once you'd finished them, can't do much sleuthing if you're stuck on a schedule, especially one that gives you 4 hours to complete something that takes 30 minutes (game time) lol.

It certainly was enjoyable going back and sticking a knife in John and Stibor, though.

lol you're right. this mission and even this game could've been a lot more interesting... tbh i bought this game because i thought I would be a great warrior and I'd have my soldiers rather than becoming a detective and just keep commuting from Rattay to Sassu.

It doesn't take long to go as far as to let him go. It's just a very annoying mission overall. FYI, if you plan on doing the reputation achievement, you don't even have to do the Monastery mission. I got the achievement with Monastery rep = 65.

I don't give a damn about that achievement as i messed up my reputation in Skalitz xD. and i don't feel like going back and completing the quests again. i only thought if i kill pious instead of arresting him i would fail the whole quest as i had reported to sir radzig before.

Kill him and be done with it. Nothing in particular happens if you go the trouble of doing otherwise.
