Tried to infiltrate an enemy camp by backstabbing a lonely guard in the forest and steal his armor (including full plate helmet), but when I tried to walk into the camp the guards attacked me on 20 meters.
Very inconsistent and nothing about "finding your own solution".
Prior to the first battle, when you're scouting. You can sneak in through the cracks at the back of the wall. Put on Cuman armour and blend in. You can't go straight up to em, but you can effectively walk around a bit. Walk, not run. Don't do anything or be seen prior. Don't go through the front with your own Cuman kit.
I tried this on a new fresh save, to mess about. But it did not help, I think it must be scripted to the mission, if it is the case it's pretty sad tbh.
In a real situation I don't think the Cumans would dare to question their Captain clad in Ornamental helmet, can't remember if it was captain marked or not, still, at some point if you get really high tier decorated gear, I feel like even if they are barbaric based, they shoulden't dare to question their captain since he's the alpha of the pack so to speak, you can't spot anything other than eyes either, or as others have said before, specific character movment, breathing, anything that can be related to the real captain if there even was one. For this scenario you gotta think outside of the box, even then, it dosen't do jack ****, you still get caught, they attack you asoon as you get into visual range, I was well aware of walking and looking normal, it just dosen't work at all.
I did however not try this in the actual mission, this was straight after getting to Rattay, but if this would have worked in the mission I think it's clear to say it's scripted and nothing else. Never had any encounter before where disguises actually works, a bandit once looked me and threw the regular who's there etc, but later attacked me anyways, but it looked like he was hesitant to attacking for a moment.
1. In my case it WAS a camp with 50 people (story-related)
2. In a camp with 5 guys they may notice that you are not their buddy if you try to talk to them or something like that. But standing in full plate armor 20 meters away from them and they call to arms? Really? :D
