Ginger in a pickle, as am I

Anyone have a workaround for this particular bug with the Ginger in a Pickle?

I came across the Suspicious Men at Arms in the forest and killed them before Captain Bernard set it as a task. He's now just standing at their camp with nothing to do, all the other soldiers have gone, and it won't let me report to him to end the quest.

Any ideas? I've heard you can also talk to Radzig, but I don't know where he is.

Talk to Radzig, he's in the main entrance of the stables if I am not wrong, he's just there against a wall waiting doing nothing.

i dont understand all the people not doing the main quest at least for a little while; rather then venturing off to kill everything that moves...

then go back to the main quest and get mad they have previously killed people that are needed for quests.



There is no work around... you F-up... screwed the pooch. you now get to start over.

game isnt even a month old... play it as intended until patches come out.

I Had the same issue and Mars' advice let me complete the quest, but Bernard is still stuck at the camp. I wanted to turn in some ears, but the talk option is still grayed out. Did he return to Rattay after a certain time for you?

Did you continue the quest to find Ginger after talking to Radzig? When I did the quest Bernard was in the arena as usual.

I had already found Ginger and sent him back to Neuhof after Bernard froze. I will talk to Ginger again and see if that does anything.

I spoke to Ginger at the Neuhof stables and got the Ginger achievement, but Bernard is still bugged.

No - he was still frozen. I ended up just reloading a save beforehand, and instead of taking him to the charcoal-burner's camp, I left him at the ranch and did it all myself and it didn't bug out.
