I have a question, where do i get the key to unlock the closet in the library of the monestry? I got the key from the prior, but this doesn't open the closet.

I've stolen the key from the Chief of the library, yet i can open the closet but i can't take the book? It says i only can open or close the closet. Anybody can help?

In the room behind where the Prior sleeps (behind the library) there is a hard chest, one key to the library is there. You can also complete the quest Scattered Pages for the Librarian to get access to the forbidden books. I also think you can pickpocket the key off the Librarian.

Oh, hmm, the books should be to the left as physical objects, somewhat high up.

i already took a book from that shelf for another quest, it was called necromicon i think. is there supposed to be more than 1 book in it or is the book needed for this quest as well?

me too Lui and sorry I think we have the game bugged if we do the quest for the '' necromicon Î '' before going to the monastery thanks to the main quest

I've already took the Avicenna bok during the Necronomicon quest, and I think I may have used the Avicenna book as a blank book of sorts during a quest for Brother Nicodemus. As a result, the Avicenna book is now gone forever, and I can't complete the Libri Prohibiti quest.

What should I do? I can't load the old save because it was way back when i no longer have the Avicenna book.

How did you guys get into the monastery before you had it come up on the main quest. I had a side quest to get the necromicon Î book a long long time back. But I could not get into the monastery until much later during the main quest where you train to become a monk....

You were right! I accidentally gave Brother Nicodemus the wrong book instead of the old one. But I’ve fixed it now—went back, stole it back, and the quest is complete. Thanks! 😄
