Enemies are parry gods
I know this has probably been stressed to death by a few others by now, but seriously. Enemies are far to commonly good at parrying attacks, no mater if you try and use the fient system or attack from directions they arent blocking in. It makes combos or even swinging your sword absolutely useless.

And before anyone yelss at me to "get gud scrub", I've cleared out every camp and win 1 vs 10 fights against armored enemies easily enough with the simple abuse of the master stroke. Because as long as you can react fast enough to them starting their attacks, you can kill enemies in a single counter and move on.

This game is suffering from the same problem ForHonor did, where parries are so strong that the only valid tatic is to stare at the enemy and let them make the first move. Atleast if the AI wasnt so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ adept at parrying strikes they have no buisness dodging like they themselves are trained knights(even if they're just some rando bandits on the road) the PC could have fun trying to strike past an enemies guard by aiming at their unguarded points. So far it seems like the AI just cheats with autoguarding and random masterstrikes against the PC even if they're off balanced or should be getting comboed.

Yes

Had such problem for the first two hours of the game. Then everything become fine. Just always hold w+shift and click rmb. Ez kill any enemy,
I've started to use longbows instead of melee weapons. Why waste my time with trying to land a combo when 2-3 hits from piercing arrows will drop them cold. It only takes one hit if you nail them in the head.

In all honesty the developers will probably be making more changes to the combat system. I like the combat in this game because it isn't a blind hack' n' slash but there needs to be modifications to it.

Well enemies fall from 2-3 hits even if you have a crappy sword. No need in combos, you can just right-click most of enemies. Mounted bows are safer option indeed, but it takes much longer than just entering camp and randomly right-clicking enemies to death within a few seconds,

Yes totally agree. Using bows is stupidly easy and using swords is stupidly hard. At some point i even thought i found invincible enemies because i was not able to land a single hit altough trying everything like combos and parry myself. It really annoyed me because i thought back at my first playthrough and remembered how i slaughtered them one by one with arrows to the face laughing.

No joke. I just came here after being in the training ring at Rattay where I was attempting to execute a combo move.
I counted out attempting the combo move 100 times against the guy and was only sucessful 4 times. All the other times were either parried, masterstiked, or just plain kicked/pulled around.

I swore off bows personally, because my actual aim in video games is pretty shody, and not having a crosshair added with the characters shaky hands makes it worse for me. Specialy when I learned how slow archery levels, it put me off the idea of ever trying it, since most fights I run into are against 5+ enemies.

combos are a joke since the aim detection with swings is some times off, and because the AI will just materstrike, dodge, or parry you out of it like you said. I have no idea how they missed in test that the enemies are so good at parying.

Long Bow and arrows are my favorite weapon in this game even while on horseback.

They are only "Parry gods" when they outskill you. Practice more and you'll be killing them easily

Just Bane your way through everything till you get better

Then that means that the random bandit outside the camp is better than a level 14 PC with 15 in sword master. My issue is that it isnt about skill since the AI decides when and how its going to ignore your attacks with no regard to where or how your actually attacking. The main ways to mitigate such things is to just wear heavy armor and abuse master strokes yourself or any of the other cheesing tactics.

The reason why I hate this so much is because it forces me to abuse the flaws in its mechanics, rather than learning combos and how to deal with different stances and numbers. It's just masterstroke and win.

Get close and use F to knock them off balance and then you can attack and set up your combos.

A lot of people don't like cheesing their way through games.

How's that "cheesing"? I can kill anyone just by RMB without any fancy technics, so why bother myself with it?

Oh, you say "dev intended you to learn combos"? Well, I don't care about the devs, right-clicking enemies to death and watching them begging for mercy is fine enough to me.

try using stealth or bows instead...

Those have their own issues, with the AI being able to see near perfect in the dark unless you have stealth +10 and archery taking ages to level up while being so ♥♥♥♥ initialy that its not worth sniping. From what I've been told and seen, the best way to use a bow is to just back up while being chased and shoot them at point blank range.
