Lost "Pie" the horse (SPOILERS)

So Im currently halfway through a quest (The Horse that Bolted) where Im supposed to find a missing horse called Pie and return him to his stables.

However, after finding him and being told to ride him back, I got sidetracked with another quest in Neuhof (The Sport of Kings) that has you race with a different horse.

Now Im stuck with the Pie quest because I forgot where I left him before the race. Theres no marker for the horse and the quest hasnt failed yet.

Does anyone know if Pie has a reset location that I can find him at?

Maybe at the ribverside after the woodsmman-camp between Neuhof and Uschitze?

Did you try going back to the river where he ended up? Other than that, I have no advice for you. I am easily distracted myself, so I made a point to get Pie back to the stables asap.

Issue Resolved: After sometime waiting in the forest clearing where you find Pie he appeared and I was able to complete the quest.

This might work. Go back where you last seem him walk around and whistle over and over again one time he should come back

so try that

I've gone back a few times (after days of doing other things) nothing, I'll try the whistle.
