[spoiler] any way to save Reeky or Lubos?
Just curious, not sure if it's because I took days before starting to find Reeky, but when I found him he was almost dying, bandits already found him and left long time before I arrived. Any way to save these guys?

Yeah that's the odd thing I went straight after reeky after partying with the priest on that playthrough
Same thing happened to me. I think it may be random or something

Or maybe it could just mean how you went about doing the priest?

Yeah, Reeky was the cave dweller. I left him there to bleed out.

I finished the game and was taking a look back into the cave where I left him: He was still there and said: "Hello Henry...."

I left him again.

Ugh! That bastard was supposed to die already! lol

Reeky and I were set to take on the bandits that came to find him at his cave but when the fight started he just ran off. I don't know if it was scripted or not, but I couldn't find any sign of him after I managed to kill all three bandits.

I assume he survived.

if you kill the bandits before they get to him, he will be alive. if the bandit chased after him and got him while you were preoccupied with the other, he will be killed by him. if you take too long to find him, he will be fataly injured in the cave but you can still talk to him. if you manage to get high level armor, high skill, find him in time, and then say the right words, he will fight with you and the enemy will most likely be killed in this scenario.

this game is like deus ex and the witcher had a baby in terms of branching quest lines and outcomes. but in terms of everything else, it's in a league of its own head and shoulders above the rest

Wish there was an option just to tell him to stay behind the rocks and let you handle the 3

Reeky was alive and well when I spoke to him but the bandits showed up after we were done talking and killed him pretty quickly... oh well.

Interesting, seems the game does indeed have many scenarios. In my game, there were no bandits at Reeky's cave, they already found him and beat him, he was almost dead when I found him
Same here because I took too long to get to him. I was finishing up another side quest (think this was the one with the vengeful farmer's ex wife). Anyhow, I pick the dialogue that makes Henry say there is no help for him in this world (not the "you deserve your fate" one). Reeky then asked Henry to help him out of the KCD world.

So I made Henry sneak up behind him and executed him with his dagger (using that Dark Brotherhood/assassin's cut throat perk). Would'[ve been great if I could've met the bandits though. Henry did encounter them briefly in the woods (shortly after they killed those horses). There was a gang of them running off into the forest. Came up on the gang right after the stabbed and left one of their bronies for dead in the woods.

Lubos no way, Reeky Im pretty sure he dies regardless as well. I killed all 3 bandits and at the end of the fight he just clenched his belly and died. Maybe he was bleeding but...♥♥♥♥ them, they are thieves anwyay.

Yep killed all of them except Pious. I dragged his ass to Rattay so he can rot in jail

No you can save Reeky if you're fast enough when you first took this quest. Don't stop to do any side quests, pick herbs etc etc lol.

Just follow his track and directly go after him once you hit the woodcutter's camp. If you follow the woodcutter directions exactly, you'll either get to him before the bandits catch up with him first. That would give you the option of convincing him to run off or fight with you.

If you beat the bandits and he's still alive, you get the option to arrest him & haul him off to the Rattay Bailiff. Or just let him go and hope he'll change his ways. Same deal with Timmy as well.

If ludosh is the guy mutilated in his house, I'm pretty sure you can save him. If you find him BEFORE getting the quest marker to look for him. I'll be testing that pretty soon.
Same with their mate Timmy. You can also save him if you elect not to fight the bandits at the mill. Take their payment (it's half until they arrive at Timmy's place) and then tell them where Timmy is and follow them there. Better yet, pick them off one by one on the way in so that only the bandit leader is left. Watch the cutscene when you arrive.

Now you have 2 choices: Either

let the bandit chief kill Timmy and collect your gold then go rat them out to Sir Radzig Or

Kill the bandit leader before he can kill Timmy

For Reeky, if you're somewhat quick to get to his area after doing the Lubos part, you can find a couple of bandits at the tavern there. Wait for them to leave, around ~18, they go to a camp and all bandits will be in the same spot. Kill them, then go find him, Reeky lives, dies, or goes to jail, up to you.

This is the saving grace of this KC:D, all the different outcomes. reminds me alot like PB games.
These are nice little twists that I'd never seen or thought of in my various replays

A funny thing happened to me when doing this quest - I happened to see the two bandits who were supposed to kill Reeky in the Ledechko tavern, so I tested out my pickpocketing skill on one of them and got caught in plain sight of the bailiff. As soon as they aggroed me, however, I had no bounty or penalty - the bailiff and half the tavern killed the bandits right on the spot.

Edit: Reeky was still alive when I found him. Probably because the bailiff had already killed the two would-be murderers at the tavern. I can't seem to find the third one, though - he never showed up and no fight happened when I arrested Reeky, it was straight to Rattay Jail after the conversation.
