Biggest problem is that dodging does not give you an advantage the way perfect block does and it is harder to execute than a block.
I'd say it could keep being hard to execute but should give you a good chance to strike back (like a bullet time for a sec).
Or perhaps with it being as hard to do as it is, you could just put a "counter attack" with it just like a perfect block. Will help with different play styles too so yuo can be the "quick, dodging light armour" character and not using the block without missing out on counter attacking so it's viable.
I would like to see this kind of mechanic:
There are 3 timezones during a dodge. If you have like 0.5 seconds time to react to an attack...
... You'll get behind the enemy when pressing during the first 0.2 seconds.
... You'll get besides the enemy when pressing during the timewindow between 0.21 seconds and 0.4 seconds.
... You'll make a normal dodge which won't give you an advantage after 0.4 seconds.
With the light armor perk, the time to react will increase to 0.75 seconds and the timewindows chance like this:
... You'll get behind the enemy when pressing during the first 0.3 seconds.
... You'll get besides the enemy when pressing during the timewindow between 0.31 seconds and 0.6 seconds.
... You'll make a normal dodge which won't give you an advantage after 0.61 seconds.
This way, you can get a huge advantage when you are good at dodging and if you're not good, you can still avoid damage and still get an advantage sometimes.
