Trader treasure maps question

Trader guys on the road offer treasure maps but I don't have enough money. When the dialogue ends they go away. Can I find the guy again or is the chance to buy the map is forever gone?

There's both a chance of you running into that same person again, plus from my experience you can usually get those maps in other ways as well, either from a different trader or by looting/stealing.
