kingdom come deliverence Quest 'The house of God'

Hi there,

Im doing this sidequest and its annoying me and i cant get a clear answer anywhere and my bug seems unique.

The first thing people google is 'Where is the skull' Luckely i was one of the few where the skull did spawn and i found it in like 2 minutes.

The next part of the mission says
Meet with leshek and zmola under the scafolding after dusk.

At this point i have spent 4 hours on this so hear me out.

succes 1= i went to the roof talked to the guy who tried to kill me and the quest was over, i went back to sir devish and got an amazing reward.

Succes 2= after the roofscene you rush to the village to try and stop zmola (im trying not to spoil anything)

Succes 3= Same as 2 but you failed to do it in time


Now, each of these parts have their own bugs like zmola not showing up or leshek not showing up or cutscenes not trighgering but my problem is unique. I can complete this quest but then it doesnt matter how long i wait or whatever else i do, the very first time after completing the quest when i go save the game i get endless loading screen. I could skip time, be in bed, start a conversation or quick travel. It will activate this endless loading and its frustrating.

I ONLY HAVE THIS WITH THIS QUEST

IS my problem unique? If not, is there a solution? Im tired of trying things that all lead to completing the mission just to not being able to save the progress.

You aren't the only one with the saving bug and it's not unique to that quest. I haven't had it happen so I can't tell you what triggers it.

I have the exact same, loading after eating pots, sleeping etc takes up to 6x as long. I've had this quest as my last save and deleted previous saves to free up room (as the game keeps filling the slots after the schnapp saves, sleeping). This quest is a game-breaker and should come with a warning, and please be fixed asap because as it is I can't seem to progress.

At other playtroughs (with about the same time arrival) you can't draw your sword or press E no longer. Even if there is a fight sequence that is laden with bugs and the dialogue makes no sense.

Also if you do miss the two entirely (no freeze and no appearance) then could you lose valuable books, items (?!).

I eventually managed complete the quest without breaking the game with the loading and saving bug. Once you find out that the skull is fake, go to the mill and speak to Leshek, he will tell you it was all Zmola. Now go and confront Zmola, kill him, and complete the quest.

It seem to work for me, thx! Is it possible to find Leshek if you didnt know he was there by the way? I mean, it is clear a best resolution for a quest, but how to achieve it unles you know where to look?

ok so i managed to get through.

I went on top of the church, beat the guy, told him he needs to be punished. After which offcourse i normally go chase mloza. I chose not to and just slept to save the game. Next day i go to the house where mloza lives and killed him while he was in bed. Then saved the game again, then i talked to the master builder about his apprentice and then saved the game again!

At last i finally got to sir divish and got my reward, and saved it again by sleeping.

What a nightmare. But i got it. II hope this helps others too,.

I had to load an earlier save to start this quest from the start (talk to the overseer). After 38 hours of other quests/roaming I started getting endless loading screens & save problems during this quest.
After reading YOUR solution, it finally worked for me as well, no more load/save errors. Thank you so much!! :)

No problem, i was looking for a solution myself and couldn't find one, spent hours going through trial and error to get it to work. I like to finish quests and was pissed at the prospect of waiting for a patch xD.

Turns out though i've run into broken quest problems with rob the rich, give to the poor. Quest giver ends up in the stockades and is never released to finish the quest ><

I was told on reddit this is not a bug, he'll be released from the stocks and you'll be able to finish the quest later (after story missions) although i cant confirm this.

house of the god - you can skip the whole climb the roof, fight, find zmola step in that quest, just goto the mill, third floor and talk to lashek who is hiding there, you can then just go back and confront zmola, it was the only way i could get it done bug free.

People have been saying though that in their playthroughs he's been stuck in the pillory all the way to the end of the game.
