Nah. Once you get the perk to stuff your armor you can be very silent with mail and brigandine (and even plate) and it's not that heavy once you have Mule II or III.
not to mention Well Worn Perk which removes 1/3 of all armor weight when worn.
Lightweight, dark clothing is the best. If you're good at combat, no one can even touch you. You don't need plate unless you're absolute sh*t at combat.
I've killed every bandit camp by stealth except for one that I accidentally rode straight into while exploring. It's entirely possible, and I really enjoy the way the devs set up stealth.
Lower you visibility and conspicuous and noise stats as far as possible and stab some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Time for the king's forest to get a little lighter on game I guess!!
But, what I have noticed is that using a "open face" helmet makes the fighting controls a bit faster and responsive compared to using a hounhelmet or similar. I'm not sure why, but it feels a lot different and a bit weird to be honest.
+ give me a archer bascinet with the small "hatch" on the right side of the face. ;D
++ weird that the standard bascinet is worse than an kettle helmet. Just sayin.
but yeah some of the other skill perks goes really well with stealth
Open face = stabbed face.
I gotta keep my good looks in case a DLC lets me get jiggy with Theresa again.
