Increase Reputation with Guards?

I'm at 100 reputation with the refugees, merchants and stuff, but 45 with the guards. Is there any way I can increase my reputation with them?

Well if you're in the minus reputation, I hear getting imprisoned resets it to 0.
I just don't know how to go up from there.

odd... my rep with all the guards is 100... or at lowest high 80s in some towns..

but of course... im an upstanding guy, i try to do good, help everyone, and always tip my Crafters for repairs (easiest way to cheaply raise their happiness quickly)


of course when i was doing the town guard mission i ran the begger off too... stupid Skalitz begger Wench... dirtying up that mans store front!

I have opposite problem. I got no idea why everyone likes me. I go to a town for first time and everybody is like "hello Henry!", "look, Henry came to visit us!" and women be like "Henry, let me have your babies!", never done any quests for them.

I too play as an upstanding Henry, except the quests that force you to steal and do illegal things. But I'm never actually caught. So I don't know why I'm still sitting at 45.

On the other hand, the citizens are SO eager to like you. I also have arrived at complete new towns and everyone praised me like they grew up with me.

my reputation with guards dropped from 50 to 49 despite never being caught doing ill, now they keep search me randomly, have no idea how to increase my reputation with them and stop their stupid search

Maybe catching criminals would help with guard reputation? Sometimes you see someone being chased and chaser screaming "stop criminal" and such, you can chase criminal down and beat them up in fistfight.

I have a suspicion that killing bandits gets you rep with the guards. Clearing out bandit camps for Bernard is almost guaranteed to raise guard rep.

THIS! Now that I think of it, this makes perfect sense!
I haven't tried doing that yet, but I'm pretty sure that'll raise the rep.

So they don't stop and search me for no reason all the time.

Yeah that creeps me out as well. Especially when there's like 4-5 people in an area that I'm currently sprinting through. They all start speaking in chorus HELLO HENRY. Creeps me the ♥♥♥♥ out
