Unblockable attacks???

I am training with bernard at the moment, but everytime I attack time slows down, he parries my attack, does a perfect block and starts punching my face or stabbing me, and I can't block it at all, there is no shield icon for a perfect block, and I can't do anything about it.
What am I doing wrong?

I did, he showed me how to do it, but as soon as the training ends i can't do them anymore.

It gets easier the higher your warfare skill is.

If he does a parry on you, expect to be hit at least once - dont try to block that one - go for the ones afterwards because they ARE blockable. Try feigning an attack or switching sides instead of attacking where your weapon is being held from as well.

There's a chance that they will happen, I don't recall which skills its based off of, but sometimes you will do a Perfect Block and not a Reposte. Don't rely on Reposte to win a fight for you, press the advantage when you perform a Perfect Block, as that's where the true benefits will come out.
