Is there a way to get the hammer and nails without tossing poop at the germans house?

So you can get lockpicks without helping your friends throw poop? cause I tried to beat Kunesh up but my choices after he gave up was to kill him ( dont think that would sit well? or can I kill him?) or let him leave his weapons and he didnt leave the key for that.

Thats a good question, I dont know if Fritz will give you lockpicks if you don't throw poop on the house. Also, I am confused with what you wrote about killing Kunesh because I did beat him on a fist fight and he gave me his key, I had no option to kill him at all.

Also, if you throw poo with your friend, it ends up with a fist fight wich will increase your strenght, so you should throw poo.

Before you even talk to your friends, try to sneak into Kunesh's house and take a look at the locked chest. Henry will mutter something like "Chest is locked... maybe Fritz will have lockpicks..." This will allow henry to ask for picks even if you dont help vandalize a house.

After the fight he tells you to take whatever you want and gives you the key. Also if you beat him unconsious you can loot him as well. The hammer and nails are inside in a trunk. The Axe is right there in a block of wood next to his house. Take it and sell it to the merchant to buy the 10 coal. All you really need is the Axe to get enough money for the coal.

When I beat him up I got to take his weapons,let him go or continue to kill him. as I didnt want to kill him I choose to take his weapons...cause I didnt really get why I werent given a dialog or something

Throwing poop is childish and throwing poop on a guy that is right the other guy would make a much better king.

Are you using a weapon to beat him? If you are that is what is messing with your game. Fight him with fists only. The only time I know of that the game gives you the option to kill is if you have a weapon drawn.

In that case it may be a bug. After the fight he should just give you the key.

The problem OP is having is that after Kunesh gives up, he probably managed to throw another punch in before the cutscene starts. If you continue beating on Kunesh then he will give up like a regular bandit, with the options to release him or continue beating him up.

Anyway, yeah it's a bug. You can restart the fight and hope that this time you don't throw another punch after he says he gives up.

Fritz will give a lockpick either way I believe. I got one from him between agreeing to throw the poop and doing it. I think you just have to go through the cutscene to talk to Fritz. If you throw the poop there is no reason for the lockpick, your friends will beat him up.

The only benefit to not throwing the poo is a bit higher standing with your hometown. Not sure how this matter with everyone being in Rattay anyway. I suppose it helps you when you talk to people from Skalditz. Although if you didn't steal anything and get cuaght or do something like beat random people up for loot, you still have around 80 standing so I don't see how it hurts. I have beat up Kunesh once without my buddies. So you can beat him up then throw poo on his house.

The other downside to not doing it is you don't meet Zynbek if you don't throw the poo. Not huge but when you see him later you know who he is if you threw the poo.
