How is the armor side-stats calculated (especially charisma)?
It seems to me that it is not a very clear way to know how a piece or amor will influence my stats other than hovering over it and seeing the red or blue values change. Often i have to make this a "two-pass" operation since in my second scan through the equipment, items that previously had no or negative effect on charsma might now have a positive effect, although I have not equipped anything in the mean time that has decresed it. It seems to be some sort of mean value, but what it is based on is all very mystical to me.

I have realized that a dirty or slightly worn piece will cause its charisma influence to decrease dramatically, but how can it be that two pants of the same type (all stats equal), both of maximum condition and both completely clean will lead to -1 charisma for one of them and no change for the other?

No one?

I would be interested in an answer too :)

I thought it was some kind of mitigation using all armor parts charisma score, but according to what you say, it's not like that ^^

I also noticed the big loss when your clothes are dirty, leading me to "repair" armor only to get them clean (bathes are always closed when i want to clean myself ^^).

About the pants, are they identical? I mean perhaps one is Cuman and so leads to a very low charisma toward most people, hence a good charisma score for the pants?

As far as I can tell, yes. They have the same name, icon, price, stats and appearance.

Dunno seems pretty clear to me. To define your charisma the game picks mean value from all your gear. BUT it counts the full value from an item only if it's clean and repaired. AND it counts only items that are visible - for example, it won't count a ring if you wear gloves, or cuirass if you wear some outer garment over it. Works both for Charisma and Visibility/Cons. stats

I have no clue.
Eaven typ of armor can give positive or negativ Charisma.
For the bavarian chainmail I think it has a negativ effect because the duke of Bavaria was on Sigismunds side.
Bur armor from Nürnberg or Augsburg was sold all over Europe and a lot of Fighters on both sides should wear some armor pices made in those citys.

Interesting. If this is true, it might explaine some of the oddities i've seen. Thanks.

Just tested it with some chainmail head armor, both got same charisma score, are clean and full repaired by myself (to avoid the charisma bonus for repairing), and i end with a difference of 2 points on final charisma score.

So you're right, and i can't explain this difference, so i would be very interested in an answer about this :)

The armour pieces each have a different coverage (based on their armour archetype).

They also have a weighting for charisma per sub-location.
The upper most visible layer is weighted and summed for all charisma values.

If your mail coif covers up your neck, then it will have a different charisma effect than if you have one which covers the neck and upper torso, even if the charisma values are the same.

You may find that some low grade items will show with certain armour overlayed, but be hidden by others (or higher grade under layers hidden or shown).

That still doesn't explain why 2 pants with same name, icon, price, stats and appearance are giving 2 different charisma final score.

Different cleanliness, different repair history. Saville row increases charisma for self repaired items.

That's why i tested with both self-repaired items, like i mentioned above ;)
