How to get a hunting permit ?

I read there is a side quest on rattay that gives you hunting permit but can't find it. Can anyone help ?

as far as i know that still a mistry my friend , but you can coock the game you hunt at it will no longer count as a stolen good

There's a huntsman somewhere near the upper courtyard/blacksmith IIRC, maybe he has some quest for you?

I did try that and he did give me a quest I catch 3 nightingale for him but thats the end he don't have any more quest

There are plenty of places you can hunt that is not inside of one of the Lords Forests.... and thus not poaching...

I didn't know that. Are there any way to tell that the forest isn't belong to a lord ?

I went hunting to forest, I was able to shoot 3 deers and like 6 hares in 10 minutes, then I went to mill and cook the meat (it also increase the price of the meat) and then sell it to miller for like 2K groshen. So hunting is a good way to make money. Just be aware if guard search you with stolen meat then you will go to jail. He catch me once and asked for 2200 groshen or jail.

Speak to the master huntsman of Talmberg, you can start the quest line that can make you the master huntsman of Talmberg. Although, you still seem to be stealing the game for some reason...I think the quest outcome is bugged.

I find out you can get hunting quests from Alex ( He is a beggar usually beg in front of the church in rattay ) but you will be pouching. I am not sure maybe it lead to the 'permit quest' that some people mentioned.

No I am not.... Anywhere that looks like its nothing but tree's for a long ways, is going to be a lords forest...

Look for small patches of wooded area shoot hares there and you will find your not poaching...

OMG, I discovered yesterday, that cooked meat sells like crazy. Kill a few boars, cook the meat, and its worth 2000. though it is hard to sell because not everyone with enough money actually buys meat.

There is the quest "Hare Hunt" that the Huntsman of Talmberg gives to you. You need to discorver who is the poacher that is killing all animals in the area. In the middle of this quest while you are investigating, you get another quest named "Sheep in Wolf's Clothing" ... and in that quest you need to take the poacher's side (when it comes) and fail the quest "Hare hunt" ... after that, you can become the Master Huntsman of Talmberg. But this part is bugged, even when you become a Master Huntsman you don't get the free acces to the lodge they give to you or the permission to hunt in the area as the dud in the castle tells you ... So we need to wait they fix it.
