heavy duty pony or Racehorse ?

Not sure which one to take, especially since the perks give no numbers. We can't even respec if I'm not mistaken correct ?

I realize that this is an OLD post. But it still comes up in the first few results of a Google search. So I'll add to it.

The actual values that this changes can be pulled directly from the game files.

Racehorse:
• +15% speed
  
• -20% weight
Heavy Duty Pony:
• -20% speed
  
• +20% weight

If you have any problem with texture or model streaming, then Racehorse will make this worse, but Heavy Duty Pony will slightly improve things (faster vs slower movement = higher or lower required streaming performance).

IMO the optimal option is not taking either perk.

I took Heavy Pony in the end, it's nice to transfer crap to your horse without worrying too much. Makes it easy to stack gold too.

Racehorse adds +15 speed but loses -60 in capacity
Heavy Duty drops speed by -8 and increases capacity by +60.
Proviso - so long as it's calculated on fixed points and not a percentage.
