heavy duty pony or Racehorse ?

Not sure which one to take, especially since the perks give no numbers. We can't even respec if I'm not mistaken correct ?

I took race horse, with a good saddle you will have enough carry weight (and you can just stuff things in your chest, anyway).

Well I don't about you but I'm wearing heavy armor which takes almost all my inventory. I'm left with barely 20. Then the horse has plenty of carry weight but still it might be not enough later in the game. Are the saddles expensive?

Money isn't really an issue later on. IIrc a hunting saddle with 4 saddlebags is about 800 groschen. So one short hunting trip pays for that easily.

You're right, thanks for the help, I bought some stuff for my horse, he looks way better and has way more inventory space. went from like 150 to 322. With no perks yet.

I tend to think the same, besides speed doesn't even really matter since you can catch up running horses already. And there's fast-travel

You can never have enough capacity in this game, especially when clearing bandit camps.

I need to clear at least 2 or 3 camps before not being able to take more gear. I just take the more valuable ones. Everything below 100g isn't worth it.

I took Heavy Duty Pony. Horse is loaded with alt gear, repair kits and flowers most of the time. lol Plus stolen loot. Like 500+ capacity and I still manage to max it out. Horse still goes fast enough.

I took the speed option, since it can actually matter in combat and such. Also, I like to ride around a lot, and a fast horse is handy.

I didn't bother picking up loot at all after completing about half of the game. So i chose a racehorse and never second thought this.
Having too much speed can be painful in towns though, sometimes i kill people while galloping.
