Eating in the Monastery

Anyone else having trouble eating in the monastery? I've tried sitting at the tables but the only ones I can sit at don't have food on them. I know there is supposed to be something that happens later on in the quest, but I can't trigger it if I can't eat. I am very confused.

Likewise. I've read you get poisoned and that's how you progress. Can't do that if you can't sit down to eat. Along with that, there is a genuine timer placed to starve to death like this.

i had the same problem. what worked for me tho is after mass run straight to the tables ( you have to be one of the first guys ) and you can sit at one table, you have to look for it tho ( table is random).

Yeah I figured it out, it's stupid but it's also a different bowl each time.

Yeah you gotta find a specific bowl each time. Which changes.

And sometimes it forgets to even give you one.
