Is the option to buy a horse simply not there? If it's after the main quest event that happened there, maybe it just takes time before they are able to sell again. I did get my horse after that point, but it was several in game days later and I progress the story a few more steps.
Yeah, the option is missing.
I'm currently at Nest of Vipers in the main quest line. I got that bad bug in Baptism by Fire, so I reverted back to an older save and haven't tried to progress since.
I did the quest for Zora as well so she could sell horses again, so I was hoping the option would be enabled at this point, but maybe I need to wait longer.
Do you remember at what point you purchased from Zora regarding her sidequest and the main storyline? Was it after Baptism by Fire?
It was actually before Nest of Vipers. Before I found Timmy. But I didn't do the quest where I delievered the Dappled Grey to Sir Divish.
I guess try another stable. There is another one on the south end of Uzhitz(sp?) and a few others..
That'll be my only option at this point. Sleipnir's pretty awesome, so it isn't necessarily a problem. It's just that I noticed Sleipnir's stamina is a lot lower than Kathanka's (the other tier 5 in Uzhitz), while Kathanka's carrying capacity is weak compared to Sleipnir's.
So both Kathanka and Sleipnir have their own drawbacks re: stamina vs carrying capacity.
In Merhojed, on the other hand, the one good horse (Warhouse Jaden) has great stats for both carrying capacity and stamina, but when I talked to the groom, the horse apparently has a serious odor issue.
The horses in Neuhof seem to have the best inspect-able stats across the board, which is why I'm a little bummed I can't prompt Zora to sell. Granted, I have no idea if there would be drawbacks once I am actually able to chat with Zora like how the one good horse in Merjohed had issues.
Is this a Bug or do i something wrong?
I had the same issue. I'll check again in my game tonight to see if it ever resolved itself and let you know.
I had tryed something out in the last hour.
It is definetely, that if Zora becomes the quest-giver for the horse-race, the option to buy a horse disappears forever.
(I have loaded a savegame before the horse-race, the option to by a horse was available)
If this is intended, it makes no sense at all ...
Zora: "Oh i got my main customer divish back, so i do not need additional customers. Go elsewhere henry, buy your horse elsewhere."
I do not want to reload, i would lost progress of a whole day.
My trys:
- I have overwhelmed (seduced) Zora, in hope that all her options get reloaded after she awakes, but horsebuy-option is still missing.
- I have restarted the game, but horsebuy-option is still missing.
- It is not daytime restricted. Horse buying isn't possible at any time.
I had the same thing happen, and I dug around to find the last save where Zora was still willing to sell me a horse. It turned out that in my case, it was related to the quest "Besmirched". Getting that quest from Andrew the Inkeeper stopped her from selling me horses. The good news is that when I completed the quest (by finding the cross, the loot, and giving it to Adam), she started selling me horses again. So, in my case, there was no need to go back to an earlier save.
It is worth checking if you have "Besmirched" as an active quest and trying to complete it to see if it fixes the problem.
Certainly a bug, b/c Zora has nothing to do with that quest AFAIK.
