Can I practice fight with wooden swords somewhere?
I'm at the part where I just got my horse and would like to fight without it being for real. Any place I can do that?

You can train with both wooden and real weapons by speaking with Bernard by the training arena in Rattay outside the east gate.

Yes rattay, and if you Started the quest in Neuhof you have to finish it all the way to ushize for the Trainer waiting again, as hes occupied with the quest also.

Do your fighting skills increase while training?

STR AGI and DEF have improved while fighting with him, this was very early on and I've been able to defeat all enemies sicne my first jaunt into Rattay.
I have a lot of trouble when theres 2 or more enemies, this one time I had to kill 2 bandits for a quest and had to retry like 10 times before I gave up and just wipped out my bow and hit and run till they died. I only had 63 energy? But that shudnt have such a huge impact right?

Yep it should be troublesome. 2vs1 is hard even for trained fighters in real life not only at histoircal swordfighting, but also any other contact sport.

Today i just won a 4vs1 in a quest after 1 hour of trying and let me tell you i felt like a god that walked the earth!

Just keep training at the trainingground etc.

I had to retry at least 10 times. fight is meant to be hard AF. i ended up trying to poison them, no go- waited till sleep shot one with arrow, no go. i was able to sneak up one time super lucky choked one unconcious then backing up shooting wounding arrows killed the other. then went back quick and killed other knocked out guy.

since i got really good equipment and my stats are also really good(16 str with the best axe one to twoshots almost all opponents) im having zero issues fighting more than 2 enemies. you have to back up constantly tho and stay defensive. perfect block riposte/instant block riposte only and then back off again and also swithcing targets a lot helps. essentially letting your opponents make mistakes.

btw that 4v1...was that the one were you had to find timmy? against marcock and consorts?

Exactly. I have chainmail armor, visor helmet... lets say people say 'sir knight' to me.

I think iam decent at fighting, no particular problems with blocking in 1v1s and in fact having those epic moments where you just change blows in a very fluid manner.

But this fight was pretty hard and i loved every second of it, hope it never gets easier.
hmm that you actually beat marcock is really surprising to me. are you using shield+shortsword? i tried a more...well subtle approach. i told him were timmy was. killed the guy they left behind. knocked one guy out with stealth, the other two didn't notice and killed the third while marcock still didn't notice. i tried to fight him. i couldn't get perfect parries against him(the time window seemed to be really small or non existant). i didn't have that good equipment back then and not as high skills but he seemed to be the strongest oppnent until then. the wayfarer knight for example was a joke compared to him. i also just fought 3 heavily armored cumans at the same time. didn't make me sweat at all and i also didn't lose any hp. but that marcock...jesus :D

Can I ask one more question? I learned a combo for my sword today, stab - slash -slash, do I need to just execute and hit those 3 inputs and after that my character does something special? Because I havent been able to pull it off at all :(

Yes, you need to attack from the correct direction too, and the Hits must Land.

I got 2 Combos down after a while of training, its not easy but it is possible.

Plenty of wayfarers on the road when you fast travel, some of which are either mercenaries or errant knights who will challenge you to a duel.

They are excellent practice and help you level your skills.

They'll wound you, but will end the fight when they beat you enough, demand payment, then depart.
