Pit of Vipers....
For the love of god - break the arrows. The archers are the most annoying thing there - if you have to fight them you have to fight up an encampment that has about 7 archers all shooting at you and only you. They're relatively easy-ish to beat but they take a bit of time and while you're focused on one the rest make you into a human pin cushion. I will say if you duck into the ruins at the base you can use that as cover and fire your arrows back but they tank so many of the shots... the first archer even took a head shot - grabbed his eye then shot at me... And unfortunately Lord Raddish (Radzig something or another) didn't bring any archers... Plus I'm not sure if it changes anything but post scouting -make sure you say there is an army because there most certainly is.... you have to kill - what 50 men with Lord Raddish only bringing 10-15? I mean I get it's suppose to be difficult - the only time I made it to runt is when I didn't have enough men left alive to fight him. Also any ideas on how to get out of this fight? I only have 2/3 rds hp and constantly restarting at the cuman leader with 2/3rds hp is pretty much locking me into a grind this until you finally win loop... anyway - moral of the story is break the arrows if you can...

Try to fight Wicht with your Bow, its like caiting shoot then walk then shoot then walk i assume with Arrows which deals 110 DMG or more will you need at least 4 HS on him.

Well as commented about half way through I did - and I agree it's for sure the bow/arrows I am using as when I do manage to pass that point I usually pick up their arrows and use them - got 3 lucky headshots on the 3 archers in the 3rd part and each was an insta kill ..... I just got clobered in the back after the 3rd headshot...

in the scouting part of the mission you can sabotage their ammo supplies. I didn't have much issue at all with the archers. If you're using plate amor, they only knock you around as the plate absorbs most of the damage.
Radzig didn't archers when I did it, so I was focused mostly on the archers, and stood a bit back so I didn't get the attention of the melee troops.

Oh I know - as I mentioned in the post - you should. I wasn't complaining that I couldn't - just that people should and venting frustration at the pure grind of pain that is this mission for me with being locked where I am.

See when I went in I kept getting dicovered (Probs cause of my armor) and so I'd run out to my horse and ride off - mashing X all the while lol. Hmm I wonder if you have less archers though...

Oh hey - from the main screen I can load into before I told Lord Raddish about the camp - #Sleep ToSaveLife.

Depending on your approach to the camp might also effect how many archers. You don't have a choice in the matter, as it might be dependant on what you scouted(I don't have anything to backup this). The route Radzig chose for me was the bridge that crosses the large ditch. At first there was about 7-8 archers, but half of those came into melee combat once we got close to the gate.
After that there was 5 on a set of stairs I could run up and just stab them all. The last phase there was only 4 peaking their heads over the wall, but they were so close it was easy to headshot each and every one of them with a bow. So total I saw, maybe 17? That's throughout the whole skirmish also.

Yeah I didn't get an option either and he chose to cross at that point as well. Since I got out of the battle and am better preparing we'll see how I can influence things.

well hopefully it goes better for you. It's probably not related, but while I was killing off the archers, I actually failed that part of it somehow, even though I had killed all the archers at that stage of the siege.
All in all, I still had a fairly sizeable force going into it.

BtW, when you talk to Radzig about the amount of men they have, what option did you chose? I chose 2nd from the bottom, it was responding "there's quite a few", so I ended up getting a decent amount of soldiers to help me with the seige.

I said the second as well - I'm going to say the 3rd this time and hope that a massive army accompanies me :|

I got stuck here aswell, i just stopped trying and did some fairly easy side missions such as Sir Bernards bandit hunt missions, easy to win and a good portion of gear and grochen after each mission. Beat that bald guy in one hit after just building up mmy character tbh im a bit broken now but still alot more fun then dying all the time.

I should probably take some time to do this, I feel like my guy is a but underlevel. I have good armor, but not a great weapon or stats to back it up.

How do you handle multiple oponents? I just get swarmed - even with a shield and moving around when I go to attack one the other is flanking and murking me.
Driverben Feb 16, 2018 @ 9:51am
if you hit tab, you can swap between people. it doesn't always help. What I ended up doing if I had more than 1 guy on me (during this quest) if I backed up enough, 1 guy would leave to attack someone else, or both would stop following me all together
