Vender reset/refresh?
Do vendors every reset/refresh their inventory? Restock on goods/gold.

Or are you f*cked once you get everything you want from a trader + his money?

They restock gold. It even gets more and more if you always trade with the same vendor. My armor vendor is currently at 9.2k gold. They seem to count in the profit they make from the stuff i sell to them.

Not sure about their items. I think they keep the stuff i sell to them, but change their other inventory.

They refresh gold. Even have more later on. They also restock.

I don't think their items change much. Maybe like a few items but for instance the armorsmith in Rattan always has the same armor and shields etc. And the weapons smith had the same weapons I think.

But I think the shops have different items for each town.

How long does it usually take?

I'm sitting on tons of stolen goods, but all the millers are at 0 gold right now

I'm having the same problem and my vendors havent restocked their money in forever.

i honestly don't know about items, but i DO know that gold restocks and they get more as either time goes on or as you trade with them. the armor vendor in rattay is the guy i trade with the most and at one point he had 17k gold worth of trade wealth.

as for how long, no idea. i want to say a day or two? and if you are having troubles with stolen goods just store them in your chest at home and wait. eventually they become regular goods you can sell. idk how long this process takes but i would bet it takes longer the more an item is worth. because i have had a stolen cuirass for almost a week now and it still counts as stolen.

and i don't have concrete proof on item restocks but i stole the "piercer" off of the rattay weaponsmiths wall rack (convinced the guard to look the other way to get it for free) and then when my lockpicking was high enough i went into his storeroom and stole everything and he had another "piercer" so i think they do restock their inventory with their default inventory but i don't know how long it takes. i just stole nearly everything the armorer and tailorer were selling so i'll let you guys know if they restock all the stuff i stole.

ok so they DO reset their inventory. it probably takes 2 days and they full reset. i stole the ceremonial mace, piercer, herods sword, two axes, and some hammers from the weapons smith in rattay. i then spent 2-3 days boosting my drinking skill at the mill waiting and sleeping and when i returned to town he had restocked all the weapons i had stolen. so there you go. easy money. i recommend robbing the armorer though you can do some neat jump tricks to easily get to the gate from behind his shop and avoid the guards.

But the items are all the same?

yes. from what i've seen. there is no "leveled" vendor stocks. so the items you see in rattay at the beginning of the game are the same ones you will see 30 hours later. but your strength, warfare, and related weapon skills will greatly increase their base damage so there is still some "scaling"

Which I think is stupid. Not very realistic in my opinion. Shop items need to mix and match and always have different items each week as the trader buys and sells stuff to other people. Like a Bethesda game...

I've noticed after I sell an item to them, it gets added to their trade menu 5 minutes later but not instantly. But at least each town and trader has some different things.

Is it me but not only do they restock on cash in hand but they also dress fancier? I trade mostly with the one trader as soon as you enter Rattay and he seems to dress fancier then when he started?????

i have not noticed the armorer, swordsmith, or tailor changing their clothes.

eh i just think it stinks because once you buy their best gear you only ever visit them for repairs or buying repair kits. so i agree because there's never a reason to re visit them. it will just be the same stuff.

also lower replayability since you know you will most likely end up using the same weapon if you use the same weapon class for a second playthrough.

True. I like the idea of randomized items because you may have to wait several days or weeks to get the right high level items that you want. It's stupid to know always in the game has the best sword or armor that you want. You start a new game, go to that town asap, buy whatever you need because the traders will always have ever the same stuff. You're never waiting for something better to show up

Thats not gonna help you much tho. As most of the stuff you can buy in Rattay, Henry cant even make use of until somewhat later in the game.

His strength is too low to carry the armors and his other skills are too low to use the weapons.

A bit of randomization would do the vendors good, but on the other hand, both vendors have their respective smiths in a building over, so it's somewhat realistic to assume, that they always order the same high quality stuff from the smith.
