The quest tells me to go to a monestary in Sasau. The quest marker is still pointing to the apothecary so i just travel to the monestary to look for the book. Well, cant find it. Is the monestary the churchlike bulding in Sasau? Or am i missing something?

Go there, and go to their library in monastery(lockpicking needed) and when you are in you need to open a big cabinet (very hard lockpicking) and steal the book.

Or you could find the librarian in the common sleeping area and get his key.
Also I don't recommend taking anything else from the monastery. You will ♥♥♥♥ up later quests for when you have to infiltrate it for the main quest.
Just get in, get only the necronomicon and gtfo

its in the monostary on Siskin just speak with him once you become a monk when he is punished and you will get the info & book.

Your best bet is to advance the main story until you get to the monastary as these guys said. Do your first day, wait until night curfew (9pm) then wait an hour for good measure.

Run for the eating hall and the kitchen at the back, run straight forwards through another door and turn to the right and follow to the end of the room and look on the shelves for the monastary keys (Or do what I did and choke out the prior while he was going to mass xD).

Then run upstairs to the library to find Siskin as Crow said, agree to help and go unlock the door next to the forbidden books cabinet and go forwards into the prior quarters and then continue forwards into the librarians quarters, check his chest (or knock him out while sleeping) and nick the keys for the cabinet.

Killed Siskin, who had nothing on him. Choked out the prior, who had nothing on him. Choked out the Librarian, who had keys to the cabinet. Book isn't in the cabinet. Broke into all chests in the Librarian's and Prior's Quarter... nothing there.

Does this book materialize when you speak to Siskin at night? It's not there.

It is in the cabinet, I saw it (and the Other monastary book you can get for a quest) in there before, the mouseover on them is messed up though and doesn't work properly. It's like middle shelf and the two lone thin books.

OK, this one is actually pretty simple. And you don't need to have done the main quest.


OK, so the monestary in Sassau is pretty obvious, so that shouldn't take much to point you to.

Approach in from the southern entrance. Best to do this at night btw so you don't get caught.

Take the stairs immediately to your left as you enter into the yard. Follow the upper walkway back until you hit an open room (the overseer's office). Sneak through this room to the only other door, enter it and keep following this chain of rooms.

Eventually you'll pass through some quarters and then into what appears to be a small room with a table and some reading lecterns in the northern side of the room. Approach these and check the chests in the NE side. Unlock them to find the "Forbidden book key." Continue until you enter what appears to be a library.

Immediately to your left upon entering the library is a locker, use the key on this. On an upper shelf is the book you want.

Then just return to the Rattay apothecary. Absurdly easy once you know where to look.
