Fast ways to level up bow skill?

trying to level that up but it's taking awhile no matter what i do.

Dont know if its the best way but i just shot cows which you can find all over in the game

Go to the woods shoot rabbit etc.

Go to the archery range and shoot all your arrows then collect them, repeat

only way to level is by doing, however I haven't seen one but there maybe a trainer about that you can pay for a level like the other skills

That doesn't raise your skill at all.
The skill raises only by shooting living targets (sometimes). I did the quest King's silver (or something along those lines) and in the smelter part I must have shot like 40 arrows into those armored bastards (plus my skill was pretty bad). Not a single point of exp in bows or agility.
So either I have a bug or the system is kinda stupid

I think you have to make effective hits aka actually wounding someone.

I killed 4 men and the xp bar didn't move a millimeter. I'd say killing someone qualify as wounding them

I just hunt, i haven't hunted a lot (mostly just that hunting quest) I'm sure if you spend 30 minutes hunting. You'll go up quite a few levels , I've also gone up strength when using the bow

thats what I would have thought be he's never gave an option to train

Hunt rabbits in the woods. Your Bow skill will level aswell as STR and Hunting. If you hunt using crouch (Sneaking) your stealth skill will raise too.

Yep. He only lets you compete. He doesn't train you.
Also you don't get any exp from the contests. And the money's kinda low as well
